Minty Fresh

Lovin' that mint green is taking over the fashion world right now.  It's a delicate pretty color that reminds me of spring. Oh, spring. PLEASE COME SOON.

Fantastically fresh.

Mmmm....minty.

Hello. My name is Becky...

and I'm a Pinterest addict.  I pin anything and everything.  Sometimes I pin things I'm not even sure I like.  I pin recipes but I don't cook.  I pin cleaning tips but I pay someone to clean my home.  I pin arts and crafts projects for my kiddies knowing that we'll never do them.  I pin fitness videos, moves and exercises but I refuse to do anything other than run in a straight line.  I pins thousands of pieces of furniture, room layouts and window treatments but I have no space for additional furniture, no spare room to redesign and no windows that need dressing.  Oh, and one other tiny little thing.  I have NO MONEY. Ouch.

I'm a fraud - a god damn Pinterest fraud.  Yet I keep pinning.  Creating new boards and neatly organizing each and every one of my pretty little pins.

I'm wasting hours upon hours of my time pinning things I'll never have, never create and simply will never be able to afford.  This about sums it up...

My pinterest life is perfect.  Unfortunately, my "real" life is not.  I like to say my life is perfectly imperfect. Short post, sorry. I need to get back to pinning.  I'm creating a new Carolina Herrera board today.  Happy pinning my fellow addicts. xox

Couch Crisis

Is there any such thing as a stunning sectional?  The big guy thinks we need one for our new family room.  Oh wait, we don't have a new family room.  It doesn't exist quite yet. We took our humble abode off the market a few weeks ago. Construction. Two year old. Four month old.  Special needs dog. Anyone have the number of a good divorce attorney? Ouch.

Yup, we decided on the addition instead of packing up 5 years worth of crap that has managed to seep it's way into every available crevice (great word) in this home.  I imagine that once construction begins this blog will end up chronicling ever single home decor argument I have with my hubby.  If anyone out there is actually reading this blog - stop in April when we break ground.

So back to my crisis.  Sectional or no sectional?  Not a fan.  Never have been.  I recognize they are comfy and provide ample seating.  Comfy is good.  Extra seating is also good but only if you have friends and since my hubby and I are both type A having people over is an ordeal because then our house may get dirty. Yes, this is how we think. Plus, we have no friends - not enough that would fill up a sectional anyway.

My last gripe with sectional sofas is that they encourage fatness.  They are so big and comfy that you just get lost in them for hours on end watching mindless television.  Nobody in this family aside from my 4 month old premie can afford to gain so much as one pound.  I've said my piece. Now somebody get me junior beef from Kelly's with extra mayo.

After sectional stalking on the web, here are some photos that I deem stunning.  You will never see any of these in my home because my hubby will claim they are not kid friendly.  Ugh.

Jonathan Adler = STUNNING.  Color = EXTRA STUNNING.

Daily Dose

Love opening my email from Joss & Main and One King's Lane at 3am when I'm up feeding my lil' fella.  My daily dose of deliciousness.  Tableware, toys, curtains,  furniture, lighting and decorative accents galore.  Yum.  Best part about both of these sites - affordability.  Yes, you read that correctly.  I love a good deal.  My hubby's BOA card loves it even more.  He haw.

If my house wasn't overflowing  at the moment these are the pieces o' furniture I would like to purchase from OKL and J&M.

Divine.

Hang me up. Please.

Hope you got your daily dose of all things pretty. xox

V Day = Epic Fail

I've never been a huge fan of V day.  The color red makes me crazy.  It's kind of ugly.  Red home decor and red clothing = gross. Although red is a staple if you're planning a nautical themed room. So perhaps red in moderation??  Anyway, I spent my V day at the hospital with my wee one. Ugh. Oh, and I didn't even get my hubby a card.  File that under worst wife evah.

So, a day late (ok, a week late) and a dollar short I will finally blog about Valentine's day.  Despite my immense hatred for the color red I have managed to find some tolerable pics.  Lie.  Very tolerable.

I'm seeing red...

Let's eat.

Well, If you say so Kate...

Truth.

If my home ever looked as pretty as these pics then my bank account would be in the RED. Ha, pretty clever. xox
