Top o' the Mornin

Oh hi.  Just thought I'd stop by and write a word or two. Sorry for the lack o' posts but the weather has been spectacular and since I don't own a laptop (no lie) I've been outside absorbing the rays with my lil' lady instead of sitting by my computer.

I figure since St. Patty's day was only a week ago it's still appropriate to give a little shout out to all things green.  Yes, I had every intention of writing this post last Saturday on St. Patty's day but the sun just got in the way.  Oops.  However, I did get some nice color on my face and for that I will not apologize.

On we go to take a peek at some green gorgeousness.  Your Irish eyes will surely be smiling at these beauties. I think.  I hope. Mine are.

 Well hello KATE & KATE

DAVID YURMAN - I love you. Forevah.

Green greatness.  Green with envy yet?

Sweet Indecision

I'm indecisive.  Very indecisive. When it comes to hanging things on the wall I'm a total nightmare. I can't make a decision to save my life.  In fact, the decision making process goes something like this...

Me: I hate the empty wall space in the kitchen.  I need to find something to hang.
Hubby: Ok. Find something you like and on my next day off I'll hang it.
Me:  Can I have your credit card?
Hubby:  Really?
Me: Yes.

(Insert lecture about how I am fiscally irresponsible here)

A few days pass, I do my research and find about a trillion things I want to hang on the kitchen wall.  I get totally stressed, annoyed and frustrated because I want to make the right decision but because I'm indecisive I really can't make a decision at all.  So the conversation continues...

Me:  I found a bunch of things I like for the kitchen wall.
Hubby: Ok.  So pick one. Buy it and call it a day.
Me:  I can't. I don't know what will look best.  I think blah blah blah blah blah.  Blah. Blah. Blah.
Hubby:  I just don't want something trendy that you like one day and hate the next.  None of that fad stuff.
Me:  Like what does that even mean?  Please help me.  Will you look at all the things I am trying to decide between?
Hubby:  No.  I will not look until you have it narrowed down to 3 options.
Me:  Ok.

Another week passes.  I do my internet thing and the conversation goes on...

Me:  Will you come sit at the computer during the next commercial and look at what I picked out?
Hubby:  Picked out for what?
Me:  The kitchen wall!!  Remember?  I hate the blank wall space.  I picked out a few things I like and I need you to decide.
Hubby:  You are ridiculous.
Me:  Just get up and come look really quick before the commercial is over.

Whenever I need to make a decorating decision I narrow it down to my 3 favorites and then let my husband make the final choice.  No lie. If you ever decide to use this decision making process be sure to give him your 3 most expensive options.  Works every time.   Who brought the smart girl?

Anyway, aside from letting you know how we make decorating decisions my conversation reenactment served no purpose.  Shocker.

Served no purposed because the one and only time I was not indecisive was when it came time to decorate our dining room wall.  I stumbled across the sweetest frame while shopping at a store in Wenham.  I purchased this sweet little love.

So what makes me feel super cool is that Pottery Barn is now selling this frame (4 years later).  Yup.  Again, who brought the smart girl?

Check out Sugarboo Designs.  Lots of color and quote options.  I went nautical of course.  Shocking.

Here are some of my other favs.

Sweet stuff.  Sort of expensive.  So worth it.

Pink

Since the 5th grade my favorite color has been green.  Yes, 5th grade.  The only reason I remember this is because the boy I had a crush on told me it was his favorite color so I figured it might as well be mine too.  Duh, another lie. Actually, the truth is, I thought if it was my favorite color he would like me.  Fail. Big fail.

So basically I've had a long term relationship with the color green and not my 5th grade crush.  Love the color.   Crisp. Clean. Fun.  I'm partial to chartreuse  but I don't discriminate against other shades of green.   I'm scared to even  type these words - I'm falling in love (madly) with the color pink.  Eeeks.  My association with pink is frills, ruffles, sparkles and lace. Barf. I have shied away from the color most of my life and now I tend to gravitate toward it.   Sorry green.  I still love ya.  Just need a change.

To much blabbing. Need to get to the pics. The short of it,  pink can be used tastefully in any room of your house.  The pictures below prove it.

First Impressions. Knock. Knock.

Pink it's my newest obsession
Yeah, pink it's not even a question

Do you remember that song Pink from Aerosmith?  Barf.  Worst. Song. Ever.
Anyway, crappy Aerosmith song or not I've found a new crush.
